Passport to Korea

1-2_03A school-day or weekend program for grade levels K through 12. By taking a field trip to a nearby location with Korean culture, students have a chance to encounter what they learn in the classroom. This can take the form of museum trips, performances and other special events, and visits to neighborhoods with a strong Korean presence. Through these trips, students experience more of the human and cultural intensity that matches their classroom learning.

Taekwondo Trip

1-2_02A school-day program for grade levels 3 through 12. This is a six-hour adventure for up to 30 students. Schools provide school bus for children or we can bring them. Once students learn about Taekwondo, they become curious about Korean Culture, language and other Taekwondo students who take the class outside of public school. We take them to visit Taekwondo studios or colleges with intensive Taekwondo programs. The trip increases awareness of the diversity of cultures, and the strong community of Taekwondo practitioners. Student can experience Olympic-style Taekwondo on Taekwondo mats, which are not available in public school gyms, allowing them to experience traditional barefoot practice sessions. They meet black belts practitioners and students at colleges realizing some of the astonishing potentials of a more advanced Taekwondo discipline.

Taekwondo Tournament

1-2_01A summer vacation program for grade levels K through 12. This is a four-hour weekday event for up to 100 students. Our Summer Taekwondo & Cultural Day Camp students learn Taekwondo, Korean language and Korean Culture. Parents want their children to have enriching experiences of other cultures so they can meet the challenges of this increasingly globalized world. Since it is not realistic for many parents to send their children to another country, our camp is an attractive alternative for achieving the same goals. Public school Taekwondo students can continue their Taekwondo programs during the summer, while learning aspects of a new culture and language. Based on our experience, a four-hour day camp is best since it is long enough for significant immersion learning, but still short enough that students do not feel like they are taking regular school hours, and parents have the chance to spend extra time with their children during the summer.
